Chiuso in quattro mura,
in una giacca vecchia,
in un Novembre con le giornate corte
e il suo lessico di morte.
Affondo la caviglia nel fango,
faccio uno sforzo per tenere insieme le ossa,
ma sono già morto e sepolto,
un rimpianto che dura nel tempo,
il contrario di ciò che è vivo,
un motivo per esser solo,
il buio che divora,
la notte che soffoca.
Non parlo da giorni e sorrido amaro.
Il rumore di fondo mi spezza la voce.
Voglio solo il silenzio.
Continuo a correre e niente cambia:
vivo di riflesso, in vetri estranei,
un'eco di ciò che ero e non sono più.
Ora lascio che la vita torni a posto da sè.

I'm hiding behind four walls,
wearing an old jacket,
living a November with short days
and its words of death.
I sink my ankles into the mud,
making an effort to keep my bones together,
but I'm already dead and buried,
a regret lasting in time,
the opposite of what is alive,
a reason for being alone,
devouring darkness,
suffocating nights.
I have not been talking for days and I smile bitterly.
The noise in the background breaks my voice.
I just want silence.
I'm still running and nothing changes:
I'm just a reflection, on unkown windows,
an echo of what I was and I'm not anymore.
Now I let life carry on as it has to.
